/// India 2024

It was 2021 when I was last in India. Then Corona came and traveling was no longer permitted due to travel regulations issued worldwide. But Corona weakened and traveling was now possible again. In 2022 and 2023, I visited various destinations that were virtually shut down by the global pandemic. But this year it will finally be India again after a long time. Especially because I have family contacts here who made seeing each other again a priority.

Here I would like to share some of my travel impressions. Starting with the Attukal Pongala, a ten-day annual Malayalam festival celebrated notably at the Attukal Bhagavathy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. This festival is celebrated by Malay women and a large number of women participate in this event. This year’s Attukal Pongal was celebrated on February 25.
